GIT_EXTERNAL_DIFF=difft git diff — use difftastic inside Git
GIT_EXTERNAL_DIFF=difft git diff HEAD~1
Setting GIT_EXTERNAL_DIFF=difft makes Git invoke difftastic for every file in a diff, giving you structural, syntax-aware comparisons inline with normal git diff output. This is the recommended way to integrate difftastic into your Git workflow without permanently altering .gitconfig.
